Fire Stopping

Fire stopping installation as a “patch” or filler for gaps that exist in a fire-resistant system. Mainly considered a form of passive fire protection in a building, its intention is to help slow the rate of fire throughout a building by containing it within a room. Fire stopping is commonly installed around penetrations such as piping, electrical, joints, and junctions to ensure a full seal.
